| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Under Mr. Albright's able leadership, BVMF and its |

| 10 | 11 | | Capacity Building Institute strive to foster community and increase |

| 11 | 12 | | the organizational power of Black citizens; the group gained |

| 12 | 13 | | national attention as it mobilized voters during the U.S. Senate |

| 13 | 14 | | race in Alabama in 2017, and the following year, Mr. Albright and |

| 14 | 15 | | his team traveled across seven Southern states to further engage |

| 15 | 16 | | citizens; the organization has also been active in other |

| 16 | 17 | | initiatives that encourage voter registration and turnout, |

| 17 | 18 | | advocate for voting rights, and develop campaign infrastructure; |

| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Albright has authored articles for publications |

| 20 | 21 | | such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Guardian, |

| 21 | 22 | | and he hosts a weekly radio show in Atlanta, Georgia; he has also |

| 22 | 23 | | taught courses in African American studies at several universities; |

| 23 | 24 | | a former resident of Selma, Alabama, he played an instrumental role |

| 24 | 25 | | in securing financial resources for the state's Black Belt region; |

| 25 | 26 | | he holds a bachelor's degree in applied economics and a master's |

| 26 | 27 | | degree in Africana studies from Cornell University as well as a |

| 29 | 30 | | WHEREAS, Cliff Albright has made a lasting, positive |

| 32 | 33 | | appreciated by his fellow citizens; now, therefore, be it |
