| 7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Williamson County Emergency Medical Services is |

| 8 | 9 | | celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2025, providing a fitting |

| 9 | 10 | | opportunity to honor the agency for its contributions to the |

| 10 | 11 | | community; and |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | WHEREAS, WCEMS was established in 1975 with 16 employees and |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | 4 ambulances, and today it operates with a staff of 177 and a fleet |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | of 25 emergency response vehicles; among its many achievements, the |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | agency has been honored at the state and national levels, and each |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | year over the past decade, it has been recognized by the Commission |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | on Accreditation of Ambulance Services and has received the |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | Mission: Lifeline EMS Gold Plus Award from the American Heart |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | Association; the agency currently benefits from the able leadership |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | of its director, John Gonzales; and |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, To celebrate its half a century of service, WCEMS is |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | hosting several events throughout 2025; the agency partnered with |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | We Are Blood to organize a blood drive that took place on January 8, |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | and it plans to teach 50 TAKE10 CPR classes to local businesses and |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | nonprofits; in addition, a 5K run will be held in the fall, and a |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | Trunk or Treat event is planned for October 18; and |

| 26 | 27 | | WHEREAS, Since its inception, Williamson County EMS has |
|---|
| 27 | 28 | | demonstrated an unwavering dedication to saving lives and to |
|---|
| 28 | 29 | | ensuring that high-quality medical care is quickly available to |
|---|
| 29 | 30 | | those who need it, and its exemplary staff are indeed worthy of |
|---|
| 30 | 31 | | recognition for their invaluable efforts; now, therefore, be it |

| 31 | 32 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |

| 32 | 33 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Williamson County Emergency |
