| 13 | 14 | | San Antonio was approved in 2021 by The University of Texas System |

| 14 | 15 | | Board of Regents to address the disparities in key health outcomes |

| 15 | 16 | | in the region; located near many of the region's major medical |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | facilities, the school is a collaboration between The University of |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and The University of |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | Texas at San Antonio, and its mission is to provide education that |

| 19 | 20 | | is experiential and leverages local data, to conduct research that |

| 20 | 21 | | addresses the unique health needs and priorities of the region, and |

| 22 | 23 | | welcomed its inaugural class of students during the fall 2024 |
