77 R E S O L U T I O N
88 WHEREAS, Rob Kepple has earned great distinction through his
99 outstanding career with the Texas District and County Attorneys
1010 Association, including his 22 years of exemplary leadership as the
1111 organization's executive director; and
1212 WHEREAS, A graduate of The George Washington University Law
1313 School, Rob Kepple began his career by serving as an associate at
1414 the Fulbright and Jaworski law firm in Houston; he went on to
1515 distinguish himself as a prosecutor in Harris County, working under
1616 the legendary district attorney John Holmes, and he rose to become a
1717 chief felony prosecutor; and
1818 WHEREAS, Mr. Kepple joined the Texas District and County
1919 Attorneys Association in 1990, overseeing the legal training of
2020 prosecutors throughout the state and representing them at the State
2121 Capitol; he assisted in drafting and implementing the 1993 Texas
2222 Penal Code, and in 2002, he accepted the position of executive
2323 director of the association; and
2424 WHEREAS, Under Mr. Kepple's skilled leadership, the Texas
2525 District and County Attorneys Association has become recognized as
2626 the largest statewide association of prosecutors in the nation; his
2727 impressive tenure is marked by such notable accomplishments as the
2828 formation of the Texas District and County Attorneys Foundation and
2929 the Prosecutor Management Institute, and he has been an
3030 indispensable asset to numerous legislators as well as aspiring
3131 prosecutors at The University of Texas School of Law; and
3232 WHEREAS, Rob Kepple is an esteemed legal expert who has left
3333 an indelible mark on the practice and application of law in Texas,
3434 and his leadership as executive director of the Texas District and
3535 County Attorneys Association will be greatly missed by all; now,
3636 therefore, be it
3737 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
3838 Legislature hereby commend Rob Kepple for his exceptional career
3939 and his many contributions to the Lone Star State and extend to him
4040 sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
4141 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
4242 prepared for Mr. Kepple as an expression of high regard by the Texas
4343 House of Representatives.
