| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, All who shared in the life of Charles Alfred |

| 9 | 9 | | Williamson of Tyler were deeply saddened by his death on |

| 10 | 10 | | December 20, 2024, at the age of 55; and |

| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Born on July 6, 1969, to J. C. and Shirley Quick |

| 12 | 12 | | Williamson, Charlie Williamson graduated from Palestine High |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | School; he went on to attend The University of Texas at Tyler, where |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | he earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice; he worked at the |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Texas Department of Criminal Justice, rising to the rank of warden, |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | and he retired after nearly 20 years of dedicated service; he later |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | was employed by Recana Recruiting and Staffing Solutions; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Public service was of great importance to |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Mr. Williamson, and he served as the Rusk County Republican Party |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Chair from 2012 to 2024; he was also an avid Longhorns fan, and he |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | enjoyed watching college football with his loved ones; a lifelong |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Methodist, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Allison |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Plunkett Williamson; and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Although Charlie Williamson will be deeply missed, |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | he has left his family and friends with a wealth of memories that |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | they will forever treasure; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |

| 28 | 28 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Charles Alfred |

| 29 | 29 | | Williamson and extend sincere condolences to the members of his |

| 30 | 30 | | family: to his children, James "Jay" Williamson and Jenna Kathryn |

| 31 | 31 | | Williamson; to his parents, J. C. and Shirley Williamson; to his |

| 32 | 32 | | father- and mother-in-law, Bill and Sarah Plunkett; to his stepson, |
