| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Members of Leadership Highland Lakes are visiting |

| 9 | 9 | | the State Capitol on April 8, 2025; and |

| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, The Leadership Highland Lakes program is dedicated |

| 11 | 11 | | to educating and motivating future leaders of Burnet and Llano |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Counties; participants take part in a variety of activities |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | designed to enhance their knowledge about their community and to |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | provide them with the tools needed to address its challenges and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | expand its opportunities; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Members of the program also have the opportunity to |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | meet with local experts and learn about business and industry, real |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | estate, state and local government, social services, tourism, the |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | arts, and education; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, This admirable initiative is helping to build a more |

| 21 | 21 | | informed and engaged citizenry, and in so doing, it is contributing |

| 22 | 22 | | to the future prosperity of the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be |

| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |

| 25 | 25 | | Legislature hereby recognize April 8, 2025, as Leadership Highland |

| 26 | 26 | | Lakes Day at the State Capitol and extend to all those associated |

| 27 | 27 | | with the program sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be |
