| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, A milestone in the history of Trinity Valley |

| 9 | 9 | | Community College athletics was realized on March 29, 2025, when |

| 10 | 10 | | the men's basketball team claimed the NJCAA Division I national |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | championship; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, During the regular season, TVCC went 20-2 in |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | conference play and finished atop the Region XIV standings; the |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Cardinals then advanced all the way to the championship game of the |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Region XIV Tournament and were named the seventh seed for the |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | National Junior College Athletic Association Division I bracket; |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | after opening the tournament with a dominant win over Trinidad |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | State College, TVCC defeated Cowley College and Panola College to |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | punch its inaugural ticket to the national title game; and |

| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Trinity Valley battled Connors State College for the |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | crown in a hard-fought contest that saw six ties and six lead |

| 22 | 22 | | changes in the first 20 minutes; finding themselves knotted at 32 at |

| 23 | 23 | | intermission, the Cardinals came out with the hot hand in the second |

| 24 | 24 | | half and held a 51-41 advantage with six and a half minutes left to |

| 25 | 25 | | play; demonstrating great poise after their foe cut the margin to |

| 26 | 26 | | 59-55 with just over a minute remaining, the TVCC players sealed the |

| 27 | 27 | | outcome with clutch free-throw shooting; triumphing 69-61, the team |

| 28 | 28 | | claimed the first national championship in program history and |
