| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Thomas Rooklidge has been named the 2025 Teacher of |

| 9 | 9 | | the Year at Frankford Middle School in the Plano Independent School |

| 10 | 10 | | District; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, A solid education is vital for young people to |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | become successful and productive adults, and those men and women |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | who dedicate their careers to teaching make a positive difference |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | in the lives of their students and in the greater community; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, A fitting recipient of the Teacher of the Year |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | award, Thomas Rooklidge serves as the history department chair and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | the gifted/talented coordinator at Frankford Middle School; and |

| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, This notable Texan exemplifies the passion, |

| 19 | 19 | | determination, and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our |

| 20 | 20 | | best teachers, and he has set a standard of excellence to which all |

| 21 | 21 | | in his profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it |

| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |

| 23 | 23 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Thomas Rooklidge on his selection |
