| 8 | 8 | WHEREAS, Judi Altstatt has been named the 2025 Teacher of the | |

| 11 | 11 | WHEREAS, A solid education is vital for young people to | |
| 12 | 12 | become successful and productive adults, and those men and women | |
| 13 | 13 | who dedicate their careers to teaching make a positive difference | |
| 14 | 14 | in the lives of their students and in the greater community; and | |
| 15 | 15 | WHEREAS, A fitting recipient of the Teacher of the Year | |
| 16 | 16 | award, Judi Altstatt teaches band at Haggard Middle School; and | |
| 17 | 17 | WHEREAS, This notable Texan exemplifies the passion, | |
| 18 | 18 | determination, and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our | |
| 19 | 19 | best teachers, and she has set a standard of excellence to which all | |
| 20 | 20 | in her profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it | |
| 21 | 21 | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas | |
| 22 | 22 | Legislature hereby congratulate Judi Altstatt on her selection as | |
| 23 | 23 | the 2025 Teacher of the Year at Haggard Middle School and extend to | |
| 24 | 24 | her sincere best wishes for continued success with her important | |
| 25 | 25 | work; and, be it further | |
