| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Memories of a life well lived may help to comfort the |

| 9 | 9 | | family and friends of Jutson Benard Holton Jr., who passed away on |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | March 23, 2025, at the age of 78; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Jutson Holton Jr. was born on February 26, 1947, to |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Ruby Farthing Holton and Jutson B. Holton Sr., who taught him to |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | take pride in his work and to stand firm in the face of adversity; he |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | grew up with the companionship of eight siblings, and his |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | involvement in the Boy Scouts further shaped his character as a |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | youth; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, A resident of Houston, Mr. Holton previously lived |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | in Mississippi and in Louisiana, where he was employed at the Enjay |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Baton Rouge Plastics Plant; his cherished family grew to include |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | children and grandchildren, and he made countless happy memories |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | with his loved ones over the years; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Although he is greatly missed, Jutson Holton was a |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | source of joy and inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | know him, and they will forever hold him close in their hearts; now, |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | therefore, be it |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Jutson Benard |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Holton Jr. and extend deepest sympathy to his family and friends |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | and to all those who mourn his passing; and, be it further |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Jutson |
