| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Jaelyn Jade Phillips of Troy High School closed out |

| 9 | 9 | | her senior year of competition in triumphant fashion, winning a |

| 10 | 10 | | state title at the 2025 Texas High School Women's Powerlifting |

| 11 | 11 | | Association 3A Division 1 State Championship; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Joining the other top high school lifters in Texas |

| 13 | 13 | | at the state meet in Edinburg on March 13, "Jae Jae" Phillips |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | delivered an exceptional performance in the 165-pound weight class; |

| 15 | 15 | | she hoisted 450 pounds in the squat, 280 pounds in the bench press, |

| 16 | 16 | | and 400 pounds in the dead lift, racking up a record 1,130 total |

| 17 | 17 | | pounds to clinch the state crown; and |

| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Phillips has earned three consecutive trips to |

| 19 | 19 | | the 3A Division 1 state final, collecting the bronze medal in 2023, |

| 20 | 20 | | the silver medal in 2024, and ultimately, the gold medal in 2025; |

| 21 | 21 | | earlier in the year, she secured her third regional championship, |

| 22 | 22 | | sweeping the Best Squat, Best Bench, and Best Deadlift awards as the |

| 23 | 23 | | top lifter in the heavyweight competition at the meet; among her |

| 24 | 24 | | other accolades, she has been named to the THSWPA All-Academic |
