| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the |

| 9 | 9 | | passing of Minh Cong Tu of Pflugerville on April 15, 2025, at the |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | age of 95; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Minh Cong Tu was born on March 21, 1930, in Saigon, |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Vietnam; in 1975, during the Vietnam War, he immigrated to the |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | United States with his wife, Anh, and he worked tirelessly in |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | pursuit of the American dream; he established a career in computer |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | programming and excelled in his job responsibilities until |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | retiring; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Minh Cong Tu enjoyed the love |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | and support of Anh, who preceded him in death; he was a devoted |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | father to his three daughters, Anh-Thao, Anh-Hue, and Anh-Tam, and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | over the years, he had the pleasure of seeing his family grow to |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | include two grandchildren, Anh-Alisse and Trey Selissen; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Those fortunate enough to have known Minh Cong Tu |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | will remember the way he touched their lives with his warmth, his |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | determination, and his adventurous spirt, and he will forever hold |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | a treasured place in their hearts; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Minh Cong Tu and |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | extend heartfelt sympathy to his family and many friends; and, be it |

| 29 | 29 | | further |
