R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Lauren Beckman has been honored with a 2024
Outstanding Service Award from the MICHELIN Guide; and
WHEREAS, Presented in conjunction with the guide's ratings
for restaurants and hotels, the Outstanding Service Awards are
among a select number of MICHELIN honors that recognize hospitality
staff members for their exceptional work; and
WHEREAS, Lauren Beckman is the bar director at acclaimed San
Antonio restaurant Mixtli, which received a coveted MICHELIN star
in the 2024 ratings; she joined the staff in 2023, bringing to her
position 15 years of experience gained mostly in the San Francisco
Bay Area; since arriving in the Alamo City, she has garnered a
number of awards and is renowned for her expertise in creating craft
cocktails with innovative flavor profiles; she has also
distinguished herself through her emphasis on sustainability and
scientific technique and her commitment to providing a superb guest
experience; and
WHEREAS, With her recognition by the MICHELIN Guide, Lauren
Beckman has furthered the stature of the San Antonio restaurant
scene, and she may take justifiable pride in this impressive
achievement; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Lauren Beckman on her receipt of a
2024 Outstanding Service Award from the MICHELIN Guide and that she
be extended sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Beckman as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
