77 R E S O L U T I O N
88 WHEREAS, Mackenzie Foster has distinguished herself in her
99 responsibilities as a legislative intern in the office of State
1010 Representative Terri Leo Wilson during the 89th Legislative
1111 Session; and
1212 WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Foster has provided
1313 vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks;
1414 in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public
1515 service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the
1616 issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and
1717 WHEREAS, Ms. Foster is a senior at Westlake High School,
1818 where she serves as the senior captain of the varsity golf team, the
1919 head golf representative to the Morgan's Message organization, and
2020 the vice president of the politics club; she has been involved with
2121 the National Charity League since 2019, and she is currently its
2222 senior class vice president; moreover, she has given generously of
2323 her time to a number of community causes, including the Jeremiah
2424 Program, Mobile Loaves & Fishes, and the Special Olympics; after
2525 graduating high school, she intends to pursue a degree in political
2626 science; and
2727 WHEREAS, Mackenzie Foster has performed her duties as a
2828 legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is indeed
2929 deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore,
3030 be it
3131 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
3232 Legislature hereby commend Mackenzie Foster for her service as a
3333 legislative intern in the office of State Representative Terri Leo
3434 Wilson and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success
3535 in all her endeavors; and, be it further
3636 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3737 prepared for Ms. Foster as an expression of high regard by the Texas
3838 House of Representatives.
