| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Mackenzie Foster has distinguished herself in her |

| 9 | 9 | | responsibilities as a legislative intern in the office of State |

| 10 | 10 | | Representative Terri Leo Wilson during the 89th Legislative |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Session; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Foster has provided |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Foster is a senior at Westlake High School, |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | where she serves as the senior captain of the varsity golf team, the |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | head golf representative to the Morgan's Message organization, and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | the vice president of the politics club; she has been involved with |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | the National Charity League since 2019, and she is currently its |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | senior class vice president; moreover, she has given generously of |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | her time to a number of community causes, including the Jeremiah |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Program, Mobile Loaves & Fishes, and the Special Olympics; after |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | graduating high school, she intends to pursue a degree in political |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | science; and |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | WHEREAS, Mackenzie Foster has performed her duties as a |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is indeed |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, |

| 31 | 31 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
