R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Mark Lucas has distinguished himself in his
responsibilities as a legislative intern in the office of State
Representative Terri Leo Wilson during the 89th Legislative
Session; and
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Lucas has provided
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks;
in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public
service, he has learned more about the legislative process and the
issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and
WHEREAS, A native of Cedar Park, Mr. Lucas is currently a
junior at The University of Texas at Austin, where he is working
towards his degree in government; active in the campus community,
he is a member of the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps program,
and his responsibilities have included serving as assistant
physical training officer; following his graduation in 2026, he
will be commissioned in the U.S. Navy; and
WHEREAS, Mark Lucas has performed his duties as a legislative
intern with skill and dedication, and he is indeed deserving of
special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
Legislature hereby commend Mark Lucas for his service as a
legislative intern in the office of State Representative Terri Leo
Wilson and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success
in all his endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Lucas as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
