77 R E S O L U T I O N
88 WHEREAS, Caroline Brown has ably served her fellow Texans as
99 a legislative intern in the office of State Representative Terri
1010 Leo Wilson during the 89th Legislative Session; and
1111 WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Brown has provided
1212 vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks;
1313 in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public
1414 service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the
1515 issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and
1616 WHEREAS, Ms. Brown is currently studying neuroscience at The
1717 University of Texas at Austin, where she has earned placement on the
1818 dean's list and participated in the Jefferson Scholars program;
1919 prior to moving to Texas, she attended The Ambrose School in Idaho
2020 and graduated as her class's salutatorian; she has also excelled in
2121 national mock trial competitions, served as a science professor
2222 research apprentice, and participated in varsity volleyball and
2323 golf; she has further distinguished herself through her involvement
2424 in organizing community service projects for a number of
2525 nonprofits; and
2626 WHEREAS, Caroline Brown has performed her duties as a
2727 legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is indeed
2828 deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore,
2929 be it
3030 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
3131 Legislature hereby congratulate Caroline Brown for her service as a
3232 legislative intern in the office of State Representative Terri Leo
3333 Wilson and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success
3434 in all her endeavors; and, be it further
3535 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3636 prepared for Ms. Brown as an expression of high regard by the Texas
3737 House of Representatives.
