| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Caroline Brown has ably served her fellow Texans as |

| 9 | 9 | | a legislative intern in the office of State Representative Terri |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Leo Wilson during the 89th Legislative Session; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Brown has provided |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Brown is currently studying neuroscience at The |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | University of Texas at Austin, where she has earned placement on the |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | dean's list and participated in the Jefferson Scholars program; |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | prior to moving to Texas, she attended The Ambrose School in Idaho |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | and graduated as her class's salutatorian; she has also excelled in |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | national mock trial competitions, served as a science professor |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | research apprentice, and participated in varsity volleyball and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | golf; she has further distinguished herself through her involvement |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | in organizing community service projects for a number of |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | nonprofits; and |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | WHEREAS, Caroline Brown has performed her duties as a |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is indeed |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, |

| 30 | 30 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
