77 R E S O L U T I O N
88 WHEREAS, Rebecca Currie has ably served her fellow Texans as
99 an intern in the office of State Representative Terri Leo Wilson
1010 during the 89th Legislative Session; and
1111 WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Currie has provided
1212 vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks;
1313 in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public
1414 service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the
1515 issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; moreover, she has
1616 earned the office's unofficial title of "Canva Queen" for her
1717 exceptional graphic design skills; and
1818 WHEREAS, A graduate of IMPACT Early College High School in
1919 Baytown, Ms. Currie is currently studying political communication
2020 at The University of Texas at Austin, where she is a member of the
2121 Sigma Epsilon chapter of Kappa Delta Sorority; while earning an
2222 associate's degree from Lee College, she was instrumental in
2323 helping the school capture both the 2023 and 2024 International
2424 Public Debate Association community college championships; over
2525 the years, she has completed internships with CastleRock
2626 Communities, Ted Cruz for Senate, and VYPE Media; and
2727 WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her
2828 duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is
2929 indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now,
3030 therefore, be it
3131 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
3232 Legislature hereby congratulate Rebecca Currie for her service as a
3333 legislative intern in the office of State Representative Terri Leo
3434 Wilson and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success
3535 in all her endeavors; and, be it further
3636 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3737 prepared for Ms. Currie as an expression of high regard by the Texas
3838 House of Representatives.
