| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Samuel Yates has ably served his fellow Texans as a |

| 9 | 9 | | legislative aide in the office of State Representative Terri Leo |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Wilson during the 89th Legislative Session; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Yates has provided |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | service, he has learned more about the legislative process and the |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Born and raised in Houston, Mr. Yates is a graduate |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | of Liberty University Online Academy; he is currently pursuing an |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | associate's degree at Lone Star College-Cyfair and plans to |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | eventually earn a bachelor's degree in economics and a law degree; |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | in addition to volunteering for the 2024 Donald Trump presidential |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | campaign, he has served as a delegate at the state Republican Party |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | convention and as an alternate delegate at the national GOP |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | convention; he has also worked with underserved communities as a |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | volunteer with Sports Quest; and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | WHEREAS, Samuel Yates has performed his duties as a |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | legislative aide with skill and dedication, and he is indeed |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore, |

| 29 | 29 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |

| 30 | 30 | | Legislature hereby commend Samuel Yates for his service as a |
