77 R E S O L U T I O N
88 WHEREAS, Elizabeth G. Alford has distinguished herself in her
99 responsibilities as a legislative aide in the office of State
1010 Representative Terri Leo Wilson during the 89th Legislative
1111 Session; and
1212 WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Alford has provided
1313 vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks;
1414 in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public
1515 service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the
1616 issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and
1717 WHEREAS, A sixth-generation Texan, Ms. Alford attended the
1818 Barbers Hill Independent School District in Mont Belvieu, and she
1919 is currently studying government and history with an emphasis in
2020 national security in the liberal arts honors program at
2121 The University of Texas at Austin; she has established an
2222 impressive record of leadership and civic engagement, including
2323 founding and serving as president of Girls Doing Good; and
2424 WHEREAS, Elizabeth Alford has performed her duties as a
2525 legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is indeed
2626 deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore,
2727 be it
2828 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
2929 Legislature hereby commend Elizabeth G. Alford for her service as a
3030 legislative aide in the office of State Representative Terri Leo
3131 Wilson and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success
3232 in all her endeavors; and, be it further
3333 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3434 prepared for Ms. Alford as an expression of high regard by the Texas
3535 House of Representatives.
