| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 254, Health and Safety | |
| 13 | 13 | Code, is amended by adding Section 254.1535 to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | Sec. 254.1535. REQUIRED PATIENT STAY REPORT. (a) In | |
| 15 | 15 | addition to any other information the executive commissioner | |
| 16 | 16 | requires by rule, a facility shall submit to the Health and Human | |
| 17 | 17 | Services Commission in the form and manner the commission requires | |
| 18 | 18 | a report on each patient stay that exceeds 48 hours. | |
| 19 | 19 | (b) A facility is not required to submit to the Health and | |
| 20 | 20 | Human Services Commission a report on a patient stay that is 48 | |
| 21 | 21 | hours or less. | |
| 22 | 22 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
