| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Section 623.0172(c), Transportation Code, is | |
| 13 | 13 | amended to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | (c) The department shall restrict vehicles operating under | |
| 15 | 15 | a permit issued under this section to routes that are: | |
| 16 | 16 | (1) located in a county with a population of more than | |
| 17 | 17 | 90,000; | |
| 18 | 18 | (2) on highways in the state highway system; and | |
| 19 | 19 | (3) not more than 30 [five] miles from the border | |
| 20 | 20 | between this state and Arkansas. | |
| 21 | 21 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
