66 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
77 AN ACT
88 relating to an exemption from certain zoning requirements for
99 developments receiving certain financial assistance administered
1010 by the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs.
1111 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1212 SECTION 1. Section 211.006, Local Government Code, is
1313 amended by adding Subsection (g) to read as follows:
1414 (g) Subsection (d) does not apply to a property on which a
1515 development that has applied for or received tax credits under
1616 Chapter 2306, Subchapter DD, Government Code, is located.
1717 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
1818 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
1919 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
2020 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
2121 Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
