11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 12, Parks and Wildlife | |
12 | 12 | Code, is amended by adding Section 12.029 to read as follows: | |
13 | 13 | Sec. 12.029. POSTMORTEM TESTING OF DEER FOR CHRONIC WASTING | |
14 | 14 | DISEASE. (a) Notwithstanding any other law, postmortem testing of | |
15 | 15 | deer for chronic wasting disease under this code or a rule adopted | |
16 | 16 | under this code must be conducted by the Texas A&M Veterinary | |
17 | 17 | Medical Diagnostic Laboratory. | |
18 | 18 | (b) The results of a test described by Subsection (a) must | |
19 | 19 | be interpreted by at least two employees of the Texas A&M Veterinary | |
20 | 20 | Medical Diagnostic Laboratory. | |
21 | 21 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
