| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 31, Election Code, is | |
| 13 | 13 | amended by adding Section 31.0205 to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | Sec. 31.0205. COUNTY OVERSIGHT BY SECRETARY OF CERTAIN | |
| 15 | 15 | ELECTION PROCEDURES. A county election official may not implement | |
| 16 | 16 | an election procedure that is not described or allowed by this code | |
| 17 | 17 | unless the county election official first obtains approval from the | |
| 18 | 18 | secretary of state to implement the procedure. | |
| 19 | 19 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
