The bill would expand the applicability of the offenses of damaging or destroying critical infrastructure facility, impairing or interrupting operation of critical infrastructure facility, intent to damage or destroy critical infrastructure facility, and intent to impair or interrupt operation of critical infrastructure facility to include when the setting was any property or facility that is used for the launch, landing, or recovery of spacecraft. It is assumed that any fiscal impact and any impact on state correctional populations or on the demand for state correctional resources would not be significant. Local Government ImpactIt is assumed that any fiscal impact to units of local government associated with enforcement, prosecution, supervision, or confinement would not be significant.
