| 10 | 13 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 11 | 14 | | SECTION 1. Section 319.005, Labor Code, is amended to read |

| 12 | 15 | | as follows: |

| 13 | 16 | | Sec. 319.005. REPORT TO LEGISLATURE. Not later than |
|---|
| 14 | 17 | | December 31 of each even-numbered year[, 2024], the task force |
|---|
| 15 | 18 | | shall prepare and submit to the legislature a report that includes: |
|---|
| 16 | 19 | | (1) a description of the activities of the task force; |
|---|
| 17 | 20 | | (2) the consolidation plan developed by the task |
|---|
| 18 | 21 | | force; and |
|---|
| 19 | 22 | | (3) the findings and recommendations of the task |
|---|
| 20 | 23 | | force. |
|---|
| 21 | 24 | | SECTION 2. Section 319.006, Labor Code, is amended to read |
|---|
| 22 | 25 | | as follows: |
|---|
| 23 | 26 | | Sec. 319.006. EXPIRATION. The task force is abolished and |
|---|
| 24 | 27 | | this chapter expires September 1, 2027 [2025]. |

| 25 | 28 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|---|
| 26 | 29 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|---|
| 27 | 30 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|---|
| 28 | 31 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|---|
| 29 | 32 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
