| 10 | 15 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 11 | 16 | | SECTION 1. Section 43.1075, Parks and Wildlife Code, is |

| 13 | 18 | | Sec. 43.1075. USING HELICOPTERS TO TAKE CERTAIN ANIMALS. |

| 14 | 19 | | Under the authority of a permit issued under this subchapter, a [A] |

| 15 | 20 | | qualified landowner or landowner's agent, as determined by |

| 16 | 21 | | commission rule, may contract to participate as a hunter or |

| 17 | 22 | | observer in using a helicopter to take depredating: |

|---|
| 19 | 24 | | (2) [or] coyotes; or |

| 20 | 25 | | (3) aoudad sheep west of the Pecos River [under the |

| 21 | 26 | | authority of a permit issued under this subchapter]. |

| 22 | 27 | | SECTION 2. As soon as practicable after the effective date |

| 23 | 28 | | of this Act, the Parks and Wildlife Commission shall adopt or amend |
|---|
| 24 | 29 | | rules as necessary to implement the change in law made by this Act. |

| 25 | 30 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
