| 9 | 14 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 10 | 15 | SECTION 1. Chapter 162, Health and Safety Code, is amended | |
| 11 | 16 | by adding Section 162.021 to read as follows: | |
| 12 | - | Sec. 162.021. AUTOLOGOUS OR DIRECT BLOOD DONATION. (a) A | |
| 13 | - | blood bank shall comply with a physician's order prescribing for an | |
| 14 | - | individual an autologous or direct blood donation. | |
| 15 | - | (b) A blood bank may charge a fee in an amount reasonable and | |
| 16 | - | necessary to cover the administrative cost to the blood bank of | |
| 17 | - | facilitating an autologous or direct blood donation ordered by a | |
| 18 | - | physician under Subsection (a). | |
