| 11 | 11 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 12 | 12 | | SECTION 1. Section 772.0064(d), Government Code, is amended |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | to read as follows: |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | (d) The task force is composed of the following members: |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | (1) the governor or the governor's designee; |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | (2) a representative of each state agency that has |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | duties relating to the prevention, investigation, or prosecution of |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | sexual assault or other sex offenses or provides services to |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | survivors, including: |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | (A) the office of the attorney general; |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | (B) the Health and Human Services Commission; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | (C) the Department of Family and Protective |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Services; |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | (3) the executive director of the Texas Commission on |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Law Enforcement or the executive director's designee; |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | (4) the presiding officer of the Texas Forensic |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Science Commission or the presiding officer's designee; |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | (5) the division director of the law enforcement |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | support division of the Texas Department of Public Safety with |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | authority over the Crime Laboratory Service or the division |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | director's designee; |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | (6) the president of the Texas Association of Crime |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | Laboratory Directors or the president's designee; |

| 34 | 34 | | (7) the president of the Texas District and County |

| 50 | 50 | | by the steering committee described by Subsection (c) to represent |
|---|
| 51 | 51 | | the interests of health care facilities that perform sexual assault |
|---|
| 52 | 52 | | forensic exams; |
|---|
| 53 | 53 | | (14) [(13)] an adult survivor of child sexual abuse or |
|---|
| 54 | 54 | | the parent or guardian of a survivor of child sexual abuse; |
|---|
| 55 | 55 | | (15) [(14)] a survivor of adult sexual assault; and |
|---|
| 56 | 56 | | (16) [(15)] other members considered appropriate by |
|---|
| 57 | 57 | | the steering committee described by Subsection (c). |
|---|
| 58 | 58 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|---|
| 59 | 59 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|---|
| 60 | 60 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|---|
| 61 | 61 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|---|
| 62 | 62 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
