| 11 | 11 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 24, Government Code, is | |
| 13 | 13 | amended by adding Section 24.60049 to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | Sec. 24.60049. 504TH JUDICIAL DISTRICT (ELLIS COUNTY). The | |
| 15 | 15 | 504th Judicial District is composed of Ellis County. | |
| 16 | 16 | SECTION 2. The 504th Judicial District is created on the | |
| 17 | 17 | effective date of this Act. | |
| 18 | 18 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | |
| 19 | 19 | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | |
| 20 | 20 | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | |
| 21 | 21 | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | |
| 22 | 22 | Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
