11 | 11 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Section 28.025(e-2), Education Code, is amended | |
13 | 13 | to read as follows: | |
14 | 14 | (e-2) At the end of each school year, each school district | |
15 | 15 | shall report through the Public Education Information Management | |
16 | 16 | System (PEIMS) the number of district students who, during that | |
17 | 17 | school year[, were]: | |
18 | 18 | (1) were enrolled in the foundation high school | |
19 | 19 | program; | |
20 | 20 | (2) were pursuing the distinguished level of | |
21 | 21 | achievement under the foundation high school program as provided by | |
22 | 22 | Subsection (b-15); [and] | |
23 | 23 | (3) were enrolled in a program to earn an endorsement | |
24 | 24 | described by Subsection (c-1); and | |
25 | 25 | (4) earned each type of performance acknowledgement | |
26 | 26 | described by Subsection (c-5). | |
27 | 27 | SECTION 2. This Act applies beginning with the 2025-2026 | |
28 | 28 | school year. | |
29 | 29 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | |
30 | 30 | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | |
31 | 31 | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | |
32 | 32 | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | |
33 | 33 | Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
