| 13 | 13 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 14 | 14 | SECTION 1. Section 15.6041, Water Code, is amended by | |
| 15 | 15 | adding Subsection (a-1) to read as follows: | |
| 16 | 16 | (a-1) For the purposes of Subsection (a)(1), the board may | |
| 17 | 17 | provide financial assistance to a political subdivision that: | |
| 18 | 18 | (1) is located wholly or partly in a county that | |
| 19 | 19 | borders the Gulf of Mexico and the United Mexican States; and | |
| 20 | 20 | (2) provides raw water to another political | |
| 21 | 21 | subdivision for the purposes of treating the water and supplying | |
| 22 | 22 | safe drinking water. | |
| 23 | 23 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
