| 12 | 12 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 13 | 13 | | SECTION 1. Section 232.0013, Local Government Code, is |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | amended to read as follows: |

| 15 | 15 | | Sec. 232.0013. CHAPTER-WIDE PROVISION RELATING TO |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | REGULATION OF PLATS AND SUBDIVISIONS IN EXTRATERRITORIAL |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | JURISDICTION. (a) The authority of a county under this chapter |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | relating to the regulation of plats or subdivisions in the |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | extraterritorial jurisdiction of a municipality is subject to any |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | applicable limitation prescribed by an agreement under Section |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | 242.001 or by Section 242.002. |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | (b) The model subdivision rules adopted under Section |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | 16.343, Water Code, do not supersede an exception to platting |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | requirements under this chapter applicable to the extraterritorial |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | jurisdiction of a municipality. |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
