88 AN ACT
99 relating to the use of telemedicine services in the juvenile
1010 justice system.
1111 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1212 SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 244, Human Resources Code,
1313 is amended by adding Section 244.0095 to read as follows:
1414 Sec. 244.0095. CERTAIN MEDICAL CARE SERVICES REQUIRED. In
1515 providing medical care, the department shall contract for
1616 telemedicine services to be available when a physician, advanced
1717 practice registered nurse, or physician assistant is not present at
1818 the facility where the services are to be provided.
1919 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
