| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 244, Human Resources Code, | |
| 13 | 13 | is amended by adding Section 244.0095 to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | Sec. 244.0095. CERTAIN MEDICAL CARE SERVICES REQUIRED. In | |
| 15 | 15 | providing medical care, the department shall contract for | |
| 16 | 16 | telemedicine services to be available when a physician, advanced | |
| 17 | 17 | practice registered nurse, or physician assistant is not present at | |
| 18 | 18 | the facility where the services are to be provided. | |
| 19 | 19 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
