11 | 11 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Sections 152.1771(a), (b), and (f), Human | |
13 | 13 | Resources Code, are amended to read as follows: | |
14 | 14 | (a) The Moore County Juvenile Board is composed of: | |
15 | 15 | (1) the county judge; | |
16 | 16 | (2) the judge of the County Court at Law of Moore | |
17 | 17 | County; and | |
18 | 18 | (3) not fewer than three or more than five other | |
19 | 19 | members [(2) six persons] appointed by the Moore County | |
20 | 20 | Commissioners Court. | |
21 | 21 | (b) The appointed members serve [staggered] two-year terms | |
22 | 22 | [with the terms of three members] expiring on December 31 of each | |
23 | 23 | even-numbered year unless the Moore County Commissioners Court | |
24 | 24 | votes to extend a member's term for not more than two years[, and | |
25 | 25 | the terms of three members expiring on December 31 of each | |
26 | 26 | odd-numbered year]. | |
27 | 27 | (f) Sections 152.0002, 152.0003, 152.0004, 152.0005, and | |
28 | 28 | 152.0006[, 152.0007, and 152.0008] do not apply to the juvenile | |
29 | 29 | board of Moore County. | |
30 | 30 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
