147 AN ACT
15- relating to the duty of an appraisal district to keep confidential
16- certain identifying information provided by a property owner.
8+ Relating to the tax administration for property tax protests and
9+ appeals
1710 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
18- SECTION 1. Section 11.48(a), Tax Code, is amended to read as
19- follows:
20- (a) A driver's license number, personal identification
21- certificate number, or social security account number, or the name,
22- age, home address, or home telephone number of a child, provided in
23- an application for an exemption filed with a chief appraiser is
24- confidential and not open to public inspection. The information
25- may not be disclosed to anyone other than an employee or agent of
26- the appraisal district who appraises property or performs appraisal
27- services for the appraisal district, except as authorized by
28- Subsection (b).
