| 9 | 9 | | relating to the content of biennial legislative immunization |

| 10 | 10 | | reports issued by the Department of State Health Services. |

| 11 | 11 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 12 | 12 | | SECTION 1. Section 161.0074(d), Health and Safety Code, is |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | amended to read as follows: |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | (d) In [If a public health disaster was declared under |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Chapter 81 during the preceding two years, in] addition to the |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | information required under Subsection (c), for immunizations that |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | immunize an individual against a [the] communicable disease |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | [subject to the declaration] the report must: |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | (1) include information by county on the accessibility |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | to the immunizations of county residents by age, race, disability, |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | and geographic location, provided the information does not |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | personally identify any individual; |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | (2) identify and assess disparities in access to the |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | immunizations by age, race, disability, and geographic location, |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | including an assessment of immunization accessibility in each |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | county; |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | (3) include the estimated economic benefit to this |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | state of reducing disparities in immunization accessibility; |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | (4) include recommendations for reducing disparities |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | in immunization accessibility; and |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | (5) include recommendations for legislative action to |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | increase immunization rates. |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
