77 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
88 AN ACT
99 relating to the content of biennial legislative immunization
1010 reports issued by the Department of State Health Services.
1111 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1212 SECTION 1. Section 161.0074(d), Health and Safety Code, is
1313 amended to read as follows:
1414 (d) In [If a public health disaster was declared under
1515 Chapter 81 during the preceding two years, in] addition to the
1616 information required under Subsection (c), for immunizations that
1717 immunize an individual against a [the] communicable disease
1818 [subject to the declaration] the report must:
1919 (1) include information by county on the accessibility
2020 to the immunizations of county residents by age, race, disability,
2121 and geographic location, provided the information does not
2222 personally identify any individual;
2323 (2) identify and assess disparities in access to the
2424 immunizations by age, race, disability, and geographic location,
2525 including an assessment of immunization accessibility in each
2626 county;
2727 (3) include the estimated economic benefit to this
2828 state of reducing disparities in immunization accessibility;
2929 (4) include recommendations for reducing disparities
3030 in immunization accessibility; and
3131 (5) include recommendations for legislative action to
3232 increase immunization rates.
3333 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
3434 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
3535 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
3636 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
3737 Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
