| 11 | 11 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Section 16.051, Water Code, is amended by adding | |
| 13 | 13 | Subsection (g-2) to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | (g-2) An engineering firm may not participate in the | |
| 15 | 15 | construction of a reservoir at a site designated as a site of unique | |
| 16 | 16 | value for the construction of a reservoir in the state water plan | |
| 17 | 17 | described by this section if the firm was contracted with or | |
| 18 | 18 | procured to assist in: | |
| 19 | 19 | (1) preparing a state water plan described by this | |
| 20 | 20 | section; | |
| 21 | 21 | (2) preparing a regional water plan described by | |
| 22 | 22 | Section 16.053; or | |
| 23 | 23 | (3) evaluating the feasibility of a project contained | |
| 24 | 24 | in a water plan described by Subdivision (1) or (2). | |
| 25 | 25 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
