| 10 | 10 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 11 | 11 | | SECTION 1. Section 26.406(c), Water Code, is amended to |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | read as follows: |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | (c) In conjunction with the commission, the committee shall |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | publish not later than June [April] 1 of each year a joint |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | groundwater monitoring and contamination report covering the |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | activities and findings of the committee made during the previous |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | calendar year. The report must: |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | (1) describe the current status of groundwater |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | monitoring programs conducted by or required by each agency at |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | regulated facilities or in connection with regulated activities; |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | (2) contain a description of each case of groundwater |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | contamination documented during the previous calendar year and of |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | each case of groundwater contamination documented during previous |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | periods for which enforcement action was incomplete at the time of |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | issuance of the preceding report; and |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | (3) indicate the status of enforcement action for each |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | case of groundwater contamination that is included in the report. |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
