| 11 | 11 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 12 | 12 | | SECTION 1. Sections 25.1101(a) and (b), Government Code, |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | are amended to read as follows: |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | (a) Hidalgo County has the following statutory county |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | courts: |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | (1) County Court at Law No. 1 of Hidalgo County; |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | (2) County Court at Law No. 2 of Hidalgo County; |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | (3) County Court at Law No. 4 of Hidalgo County; |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | (4) County Court at Law No. 5 of Hidalgo County; |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | (5) County Court at Law No. 6 of Hidalgo County; |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | (6) County Court at Law No. 7 of Hidalgo County; |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | (7) County Court at Law No. 8 of Hidalgo County; |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | (8) County Court at Law No. 9 of Hidalgo County; [and] |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | (9) County Court at Law No. 10 of Hidalgo County; and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | (10) County Court at Law No. 11 of Hidalgo County. |

| 26 | 26 | | (b) Hidalgo County has the following statutory probate |

| 27 | 27 | | courts: |

| 28 | 28 | | (1) [one statutory probate court, the] Probate Court |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | No. 1 of Hidalgo County; and |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | (2) Probate Court No. 2 of Hidalgo County. |

| 31 | 31 | | SECTION 2. (a) On January 1, 2026: |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | (1) the Probate Court No. 2 of Hidalgo County is |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | created; and |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | (2) the Probate Court of Hidalgo County is |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | redesignated as Probate Court No. 1 of Hidalgo County. |

| 36 | 36 | | (b) The County Court at Law No. 11 of Hidalgo County is |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | created on January 1, 2027. |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
