11 | 11 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Section 2154.101(b), Occupations Code, is | |
13 | 13 | amended to read as follows: | |
14 | 14 | (b) A person who is younger than 18 [21] years of age may not | |
15 | 15 | be issued a [pyrotechnic operator's license. The minimum age of a | |
16 | 16 | person issued another] license under Subchapter D [is 18 years of | |
17 | 17 | age]. | |
18 | 18 | SECTION 2. Section 2154.201(a), Occupations Code, is | |
19 | 19 | amended to read as follows: | |
20 | 20 | (a) [A person who is younger than 21 years of age may not be | |
21 | 21 | issued a public fireworks display permit.] A person who is younger | |
22 | 22 | than 18 years of age may not be issued a [another] permit under this | |
23 | 23 | subchapter. | |
24 | 24 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
