The bill would require a certain governing body of a municipality, and would allow a certain county commissioners court, to issue an evacuation order for a launch site hazard area on the date on which space flight activities are conducted, and would make the violation of such an ordinance or order punishable as a Class B misdemeanor for a first offense, or as a Class A misdemeanor when the actor has been previously convicted of the offense. While it is assumed that any state revenue impact would not be significant, it would be dependent on the number of offenses committed and the associated court costs.
