| 12 | 12 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 13 | 13 | SECTION 1. Section 361.428, Health and Safety Code, is | |
| 14 | 14 | amended by adding Subsection (f) to read as follows: | |
| 15 | 15 | (f) The executive director shall hold a public meeting in | |
| 16 | 16 | the county in which a composting facility is located or proposed to | |
| 17 | 17 | be located and for which a permit, registration, or notification is | |
| 18 | 18 | required by commission rule on the request of a member of the | |
| 19 | 19 | legislature who represents the general area in which the facility | |
| 20 | 20 | is located or proposed to be located. | |
| 21 | 21 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
