| 11 | 11 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Section 12.056, Education Code, is amended by | |
| 13 | 13 | adding Subsection (c) to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | (c) The following provisions apply to an entity to which a | |
| 15 | 15 | charter is granted to operate a campus or program under this | |
| 16 | 16 | subchapter in the same manner as if the entity were granted a | |
| 17 | 17 | charter for an open-enrollment charter school under Subchapter D | |
| 18 | 18 | and to the campus or program as if the campus or program were an | |
| 19 | 19 | open-enrollment charter school: | |
| 20 | 20 | (1) an audit under Section 12.1163; | |
| 21 | 21 | (2) requirements regarding related party transactions | |
| 22 | 22 | under Section 12.1166; | |
| 23 | 23 | (3) a financial report under Section 12.1168; | |
| 24 | 24 | (4) a prohibition on accepting loans from or entering | |
| 25 | 25 | into contracts with certain management companies under Section | |
| 26 | 26 | 12.124; | |
| 27 | 27 | (5) requirements related to contracts for management | |
| 28 | 28 | services under Section 12.125; and | |
| 29 | 29 | (6) a prohibition on contracts with certain management | |
| 30 | 30 | companies under Section 12.126. | |
| 31 | 31 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
