| 12 | 12 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 13 | 13 | SECTION 1. Section 1369.1031, Insurance Code, is amended by | |
| 14 | 14 | adding Subsection (e) to read as follows: | |
| 15 | 15 | (e) A health benefit plan that provides benefits for | |
| 16 | 16 | prescription contraceptive devices must provide coverage of | |
| 17 | 17 | evidence-based anxiety and pain management related to the insertion | |
| 18 | 18 | or removal of the device. | |
| 19 | 19 | SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only | |
| 20 | 20 | to a health benefit plan that is delivered, issued for delivery, or | |
| 21 | 21 | renewed on or after January 1, 2026. | |
| 22 | 22 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
