| 11 | 11 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 12 | 12 | | SECTION 1. TEXAS LOTTERY COMMISSION. Section 467.002, |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Government Code, is amended to read as follows: |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Sec. 467.002. APPLICATION OF SUNSET ACT. The commission is |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | subject to review under Chapter 325 (Texas Sunset Act). Unless |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | continued in existence as provided by that chapter, the commission |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | is abolished and this chapter, Chapter 466 of this code, and Chapter |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | 2001, Occupations Code, expire September 1, 2027 [2025]. |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | SECTION 2. TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE. Section |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | 492.012, Government Code, is amended to read as follows: |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Sec. 492.012. SUNSET PROVISION. The Texas Board of |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Criminal Justice and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice are |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | subject to Chapter 325 (Texas Sunset Act). Unless continued in |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | existence as provided by that chapter, the board and the department |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | are abolished September 1, 2027 [2025]. |

| 26 | 26 | | SECTION 3. TEXAS ETHICS COMMISSION. Section 571.022, |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Government Code, is amended to read as follows: |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Sec. 571.022. SUNSET PROVISION. The commission is subject |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | to review under Chapter 325 (Texas Sunset Act), but is not abolished |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | under that chapter. The commission shall be reviewed during the |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | periods in which state agencies abolished in 2027 [2013] and every |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | 12th year after that year are reviewed. |

| 33 | 33 | | SECTION 4. DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION RESOURCES. Section |

| 34 | 34 | | 2054.005, Government Code, is amended to read as follows: |

| 36 | 36 | | Information Resources is subject to Chapter 325 (Texas Sunset Act). |

| 38 | 38 | | department is abolished and this chapter expires September 1, 2027 |

| 76 | 76 | | SECTION 9. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Act takes effect |
|---|
| 77 | 77 | | immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members |
|---|
| 78 | 78 | | elected to each house, as provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas |
|---|
| 79 | 79 | | Constitution. If this Act does not receive the vote necessary for |
|---|
| 80 | 80 | | immediate effect, this Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
