| 11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Section 508.152, Government Code, is amended by | |
| 12 | 12 | adding Subsection (b-3) to read as follows: | |
| 13 | 13 | (b-3) The department shall: | |
| 14 | 14 | (1) inform each inmate of all volunteer programs and | |
| 15 | 15 | other activities that the inmate is eligible to participate in that | |
| 16 | 16 | involve religious services or the studying of religious texts; and | |
| 17 | 17 | (2) include in an inmate's individual treatment plan | |
| 18 | 18 | all religious programs and activities described by Subdivision (1) | |
| 19 | 19 | that the inmate participates in. | |
| 20 | 20 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
