| 16 | 16 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 17 | 17 | | SECTION 1. Section 25.18(a), Tax Code, is amended to read as |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | follows: |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | (a) Each appraisal office shall implement the plan for |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | periodic reappraisal of property approved by the board of directors |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | under Section 6.05(i). The plan may not include a standard or |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | timeline that is inconsistent with or not authorized by this code. |

| 23 | 23 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
