| 11 | 11 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 28, Education Code, is | |
| 13 | 13 | amended by adding Section 28.0025 to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | Sec. 28.0025. REVIEW OF ADVANCED PLACEMENT AND | |
| 15 | 15 | INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE COURSES. (a) Not later than December | |
| 16 | 16 | 31, 2026, the State Board of Education shall: | |
| 17 | 17 | (1) review and evaluate each advanced placement and | |
| 18 | 18 | international baccalaureate course offered by a school district or | |
| 19 | 19 | open-enrollment charter school, including examination, | |
| 20 | 20 | instructional, and training materials for the course, for | |
| 21 | 21 | compliance with state law, including Section 28.0022; and | |
| 22 | 22 | (2) based upon the review described by Subdivision | |
| 23 | 23 | (1), determine whether school districts and open-enrollment | |
| 24 | 24 | charter schools may continue to offer each course. | |
| 25 | 25 | (b) This section expires September 1, 2027. | |
| 26 | 26 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
