| 11 | 11 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Subchapter S, Chapter 51, Education Code, is | |
| 13 | 13 | amended by adding Section 51.765 to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | Sec. 51.765. NURSING SCHOOL APPLICATION CONSOLIDATION. A | |
| 15 | 15 | service or organization that provides consolidated application | |
| 16 | 16 | services for applications to medical schools or dental schools, | |
| 17 | 17 | including the Texas Medical and Dental Schools Application Service | |
| 18 | 18 | operated through The University of Texas System, must include | |
| 19 | 19 | applications for nursing schools in this state. | |
| 20 | 20 | SECTION 2. Section 51.765, Education Code, as added by this | |
| 21 | 21 | Act, applies beginning with applications for admission to a nursing | |
| 22 | 22 | school for the 2026 fall semester. | |
| 23 | 23 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
